Ebony Vines Wedding

NICOLE & KURT’S WEDDING FILM

Getting ready in Rotorua then off to the beautiful Ebony Vines wedding venue for the rest of the day. What a fantastic time everyone had. The venue allows couples to choose their own catering and use of the spaces. It was only a 10-minute drive up the road to Maketu beach for some twilight footage and photos, ideal for relaxed people like Nicole and Kurt.

THEIR STORY…

HOW DID YOU TWO MEET?

Moving into a flat together! My brother went overseas for a year and got me to look after his house & flatties – Kurt moved in a week later!

WHY DO YOU WANT TO CAPTURE YOUR WEDDING ON VIDEO? WHY DID YOU PICK ME?

So in years to come, we can look back on it and remember it (wedding) better than we can in photos also spoke to others recently married and they said not getting video was their biggest regret. You are easy going, didn’t try and pressure us into going with you, but instead offered us good advice – nice & genuine. You’re very helpful & willing to go the extra mile!

TELL ME ABOUT YOUR PROPOSAL?

On Whitianga Beach after dinner on our 2 year anniversary!

YOU GUYS… WHAT DO YOU DO? HOW DO YOUR SPEND YOUR DAYS? WHAT’S IMPORTANT IN LIFE?

I’ve just finished my bachelors degree in nursing! Finding out if I have my registration on Friday… Also work part time at Harcourts.
Kurt is a heavy diesel mechanic. We both work long hours, but love adventuring when we get the chance! Hunting, fishing, travelling in out camper.

WHY DID YOU DECIDE ON THE EBONY VINES WEDDING VENUE?

We had 160 guests, before covid. This venue was nice and big and provided good options if it rains. It has deer antlers, and the colour scheme we love with the wood look and the white, and fairy lights!

WHAT EXPERIENCE DO YOU WANT TO GIVE TO YOUR GUESTS?

A fun, relaxed vibe, where they can celebrate with us enjoy themselves. Also have the “nice, pretty” element in there!

IS THERE A HONEYMOON PLANNED?

Yes, Raglan for 2 days, then up north – Pahia, cape Rienga, Tutukaka, Dargaville

WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELVES IN 10 YEAR’S TIME?

Hopefully, by then we have bought a lifestyle block and have a couple of little kids running around! Hopefully, I have made good headway into becoming a nurse practitioner. Kurt hopefully running a workshop o
